GCAmTour-Houston, River Ridge Tournament Results, March 29, 2014

Jeff Zemencsik (Houston, TX) – Art Flores records first “ACE” of the season on GCAmTour-Houston.  “Sudden Death” playoffs determine outcome in multiple flights as play was tightly contested at River Ridge Golf Club, Sealy, TX.

The Course:  River Ridge Golf Club, Sealy, Texas.  The course was in great condition, still green and plush with winter rye.  The course did receive about ½” of rain the day before the event so it played a bit softer.  The greens were in good condition, smooth and medium-fast, running 9.5-10.

The Weather:  One of the best days of golf weather we have seen all year.  Clear blue sky in the morning, a brief period of overcast/haze, and later clear, blue sky again.  The temperatures were cooler in the morning mid/lower 50’s and warmed up to the mid/high 70’s.  The winds were steady from the N 10-15mph throughout the day, allowing competitive scoring.
