GCAmTour-Houston, River Ridge Tournament Recap, April 23, 2011.

GCAmTour-Houston golfers score low on River Ridge despite windy conditions.  We had our low round of the year by Walter Menuet of the Senior Palmer Flight, a 1-under par 70.  We also had a record five EAGLES during the tournament and a near hole-in-one.

The Course:  River Ridge (Parkland to River) GC, Sealy, TX.  The course was in spring condition, green fairways, rough, and native areas.  The putting surfaces were smooth and running 9-10.

The Weather:  A beautiful day for golf with a lot of sunshine and blue sky.  Temperatures were in the mid 70’s early in the morning and warmed up rapidly to near 90.  The winds were from the SSE throughout the day, 20-25mph.  The strong winds made the course difficult, dry, hard, and fast.
